Tucuma butter is solid at room temperature, but melts immediately on contact with the skin. Tucuma butter has great emolliency and skin feel which are a result of its high levels of Lauric, Myristic, and Oleic fatty Acids. |

The large fruits are edible and valued for their flavor in South America.
